Sony has just announced the release date for Singstar PS3. It will be hitting the UK on December 7 and the rest of Europe on December 12. The game will have over 30 songs and even more to download from the Singstore. It is still compatible for the old Singstar devices so there is no reason to buy a new one and it also supports the Playstation Eye.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced that SingStar for PlayStation 3 would be released in the UK on December 7.

The company also revealed that it plans to promote the title through a dedicated MySpace website, in addition to multiple SingStar Studio pods at London’s O2 Arena.

SingStar PS3 is a continuation of the popular karaoke series previously released on PlayStation 2, and contains over 30 songs, with more unlockable through the online SingStore. The game will be compatible with existing SingStar USB peripherals, in addition to the recently released PlayStation Eye.

The game is expected to hit the rest of Europe on December 12.
