Portable Sega Megadrive Released Next Month!

ITANI | November 14, 2007 | News | Company Misc
It's true! A Sega portable Megadrive will be heading to the Brazillian markets next month, so if you ever missed playing as a 2D Sonic or Knuckles now you have a chance to do so.

The handheld is being made by the respectable and official affiliate to Sega, Tec Toy. They will launch the Megadrive handheld on December 5th and it's price will be at $100, although that's not all, you get a whooping 20 loaded games with it also. That way you will be hooked on it for sure.

Moving on to the downfalls of this handheld is that it does not have internal memory and no cart slot. So in other words those 20 games are all you will ever play on the handheld. The handheld is not rechargeable and takes up three AAA batteries.

If all those above downfalls don't matter to you well here's a major downfall. The handheld will only be released in Brazil for now.

They really should have gone with S3&K over just the standard S&K. S3&K was awesome, besides you had the Super Emeralds so you could go Hyper (Super with Tails even though he was still pretty much Hyper). Oh well, still pretty cool.

Looks like a smaller version of the Gamegear to me.

Nice, I'd probably go for it if I was Brazilian. What PSP game has all the Sonic games? There was a Megadrive collection, but I think that only had the first.

That's the closest we've had for now, as Genesis Collection contains 1 & 2.
