An image of Mario from his new title Super Mario Galaxy has been beamed on London's Battersea Power Station. Dave Yarton, General Manager for Nintendo UK had this to say about the promotion:

"Mario mania is huge and yesterday we proved it by beaming a giant image onto one of London's iconic land marks. We expect the release of Super Mario Galaxy to help break the 200 million franchise barrier."

Nintendo seem to be pulling out all the stops for the Wii aren't they! With all them ads in the UK only a few seconds long with a clip of Super Mario Galaxy I was worried it would sell out on launch.
Now that is just cool! Too bad their isn't enough people able to get their hands on a Wii to play it.

Nintendo is having some great ideas when it comes to advertising Galaxy. First the phone call from Mario himself, now the image of Mario beamed in London. Game companies should do more of this. XD
