With the varied scores that have been hitting Assassin's Creed recently for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 you would have though it could not get any worse. Well, it is now said that the Playstation 3 version of the game is experiencing multiple problems with the title.
These problems the game is facing are graphical glitches, clipping problems and system crashes. Though, Sony and Ubisoft have claimed that the reason for this is because of the new firmware update and will sorted as soon as possible with the 2.01 version.
Assassin's Creed is getting very varied scores at this moment, going from a nice 9 to a 6 or 7. Biggest disadvantage or point of discussion seems to be the repetitive game play.
However, the PS3 version is dealing with some additional problems like graphical glitches, clipping problems and system crashes where restarting is the only possibility.
Sony and Ubisoft have stated this is probably a result of the new firmware update. There are searching for a solution. Everything should be solved with the 2.01 version that's coming soon.

I've heard the same sort of thing is happening on the 360 version as well ...
But yeh, Ps3 is taking a bit more stick then the 360.
"OMG MS/SONY DIDN'T FIX IT YET ZOMGOMGOZMZOGMOG" and yet. it's not their title. Ubi needs to address it, not them.
For those who had tried playing the title in the earlier stages, the game was clip madness, so it's not that new to see it still happening in either version since it means the source code for it was bugged to begin with.
It's not like the PS3 version has absurd amounts of clipping because of the Cell or RSX, it's a problem on the developer side of things. The PR front right now is lame because Sony shouldn't try to claim that firmware ended up causing pre-determined clipping boxes to fail.
The update wasn't so good in the first place and now its ruing everything else!
I play on 360
So the game works for me just fine. I'm inclined to think it's pretty isolated. On the PS3 if they feel the need to announce that they're going to fix it soon.
Looked pretty good but this has put me off atleast until it's sorted out.
