It's happened. Ubisoft have announced that up and coming title "Haze" which is exclusive to the Playstation 3 have been delayed until 2008. A reason for why it has been delayed is not clear as nothing is yet to be announced.

While announcing their financial results for the first half of the fiscal year Ubisoft has announced that the PlayStation 3 exclusive Haze has been delayed until Quarter 4, Fiscal 2008 - 2009, which starts on January 1st and ends on March 31st, 2008.

This is a big blow for the game, which appeared to be shaping up well when we played it recently. Still, a little extra development time could be a good thing.

I thought it was delayed til 08 not 09. At least thats what the description said.

Im not that upset gives it more time to polish the game. Besides now i know i can get something else that was hindering my plans on games to get.

The gaming industry really can't keep a date can they?

I just think they should not make a release date for any game though we are getting use to the PS3 dates not sticking after all.

At least they will take time to make it better. They must have seen it as being inferior to COD4 and want to make it better. Whatever. I hope its worth the wait.

The fact is though Release dates aren't official, its just a date the devs try to meet and if something happens lets say bugs, they can delay it to fix these problems. The only time a release date is 100% on schedule is when it actually does gets release other than that you should never expect it to come out the date they give. Games today especially with the media and reviewers who likes to rush the game, it needs to be very polished so it gets a high score. We already seen the scores from A.C when they rush and don't take there time with it, Bad scores.
