"Fatal Inertia" will be better on PS3

tidus04 | November 22, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360 Company
KOEI have announced that they plan for the title release of Fatal Inertia which will hit the shops in 2008 for the Playstation 3 will be of a better quality then the Xbox 360 version they have already released. Areas in which they are trying to improve for the PS3 game are the graphical quality and flow of the game through frame rate which the Xbox 360 has issues with and they are also considering to add new features towards the title.

Hopfully this is a good sign of things to come for Sony products.
KOEI has told Eurogamer that futuristic racer Fatal Inertia will be a better game on PS3.

The company is spending more time on it after the 360 version failed to ignite critical fuses when it was released in September. According to a spokesperson for the publisher, they're polishing up technical areas and putting together a more enticing demo than Live customers were treated to.

New content is a possibility, too, although nothing concrete is known at this point.

KOEI US recently offered next spring as an expected date for the title. However, we were told nothing has been decided internally and it is currently "in development for 2008", as it's always been.

Fatal Inertia began life as a PS3 exclusive, but met delays because it was fiddly getting it to work with Unreal Engine 3.

The game lets you zip around interesting courses like canyons and caves in futuristic flying ships, using all sorts of innovative weaponry to hamper the progress of your opponents.

Unfortunately it was let down by a poor frame rate and ill-conceived technical features in the 360 version. KOEI is hoping to iron out those kinks in time for the PS3 release.

Try and tell that to half of the lazy ass developers that have ported 90% of the 360 games to the PS3 with terrible results...

Fatal Inertia as a game itself was bad. I don't give a rat's ass which console it's better on, it was a terrible game.

And developers are NEVER going to put full effort into the PS3 because it's too new. Hence why the PS3 still isn't looking as good as 360, even a year later.

And personally, with all the multiplatform games coming out, the PS3 is never going to get the support needed tp pull itself out of 3rd place.
