2K Games has announced that they will be offering a free download for additional content that will be added to Bioshock for Xbox 360 and PC. The download content that will be offered has not been stated yet but will appear on the official website of the game in the up and coming days. This content will be available next week.

Make no mistake about it, BioShock is a candidate for top game of the year. However, it’s a shooter that doesn’t hold have much replay value unless you’re firm on collecting all the achievements available in the game. There’s no multiplayer featured, so once you’ve completed the game all you can basically do is play it over. For some owners of the title, they relish in the opportunity to play it over again. For others, they might need a little extra incentive to pop the game back into their console.

2K Games has announced that next week a patch (title update) and
downloadable content will be available for BioShock for the Xbox 360 and PC. More importantly, the downloadable content will be free. The list of fixes the game will see is not available yet, but will be arriving on the official website very soon. There hasn’t been much revealed on the new downloadable content, except that new plasmids and a change to the game’s widescreen field of vision will come with the new content. Not too long ago it was expressed that the downloadable content for BioShock would more than likely be gameplay enhancements over new levels.
