Just as the pleasant glow of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is wearing off the good people at Insomnaic are already looking towards the future. In an interview with two of the developers they not only confirm the sequel but give hints on the basis of the story. Go to the site if you want to see the video for yourself
In the below video interview with two developers from Insomniac Games talk about creating Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. In the interview they are asked about things they had to cut from the game, which gives some interesting hints at Ratchet & Clank Future 2 about 2:30 minutes in.
To quote the answer: There were certain things in the story, characters that I wanted to address more in this part of the story arch that were not going to address until a later part of the story arch. So I cant go into too much of who they were. For instance the Max Apogee [the Lombax Anthropologist] story arch is something that we were not going into too deep, but we hint at it. And more of the background with the Lombaxes and what happened to them. Its things we hint at. The Zonie and the history of the Zonian and who they are. Theres a lot of background to the world. If you interact with a lot of the NPC characters, youll find out a lot of hints about it.

Kudos to them, for sure.
I think it's good for them to think ahead and sell more games, good for them!!!
Still, a couple of Insomniac sequel/exclusives aren't enough. We need more than this from -all- the developers.
But that is good for them
I cant wait for the next encounter or more information about characters which mainly are the Zoni an dof course what happens with Quark to see if he ever become a pirate =O
I also hope they don't rush things and it ends up being crappy, that would be a big no no!!!
