Xbox 360's fall update will be released December 4th. It will include
MPEG-4, which means the box plays both DivX and XviD files without a hitch. There will also be a new Xbox live marketplace!!! Also as a cool bonus, opening up the Xbox Originals page actually reveals an Xbox 1-themed layout. The video marketplace has also been re-branded as the "video store," but the actual contents remain the same.

On December 4, Xbox 360 will receive the much anticipated fall update for the dashboard. Microsoft has slowly released information about the update -- disclosing the addition of Xbox Originals to the marketplace, the controversial Friends of Friends feature and Family Timer functionality -- but 1UP has gone hands-on with the update to uncover all its virtual secrets.

Good updates that they are offering. Good to see the DivX and XviD is finally coming to the console.

Not that I will actually use it. I don't even really know wth DivX is other than it was the only thing I could find that would play Lost back when I downloaded it.

Anyway I'm still uncertain as to the Friends of Friends feature. And they did cover it but they said the same thing I've been thinking. If I set it so that no one can see me will I not show on friends pages who choose to have friends of friends up?

This update has probably the biggest impact on Xbox 360 consumers other than the Spring update.
