  TimeShift has gore...kinda like F.E.A.R. (if it isn't a clone already), you can blow someone up and you see chunks all around. Call of Duty? There's not much violence in that...unless the intensity of the game is too much for you.
  
  Talking about Game retailers, is there any actual evidence that game retailers sell stuff to minors??? Cuz that just has me puzzled.

  Jack Thompson's son (15) was able to purchase M-rated games a few times this year.
  
  His whole point of contention (beyond hating Take Two of course) is that the ESRB ratings are not legally enforced rather than existing as mere guidelines for parents, who generally don't have a clue.
  
  For example the UK's BBFC ratings hold the retailer responsible if age-restricted software is sold to a minor.
  
  Alcohol gets sold to minors, so I think it's fair to say that shop assistants happily hand over software to kids without checking for ID.

    And if so, how can you tell from hearsay? How can anyone prove game retailers are indeed selling things to minors when no one complains? I know my Gamestop ALWAYS ask for IDs, dunno about any other ones.

  You also have to remember that some people that are minors may look like adults which is why i probably got away from being asked for my age when i was 16 buying GTA games and such, although my parents was present but not in the store though.
  
  I can't believe CoD4 and A.C is on that list. I didn't think Assassins Creed was gory and one of the dangerous game of this year.

  What the hell, they put Assassin's Creed on there? It's not... particularly violent... Then again, they could just say I'm an innocent youth whose mind has been desensitised to violence and who am I to argue, but whatever.

  That list is bullshit. Call of Duty 4 isn't dangerous. You're stopping a nuclear holocaust. Since when that a bad thing ? Fascists.
  
  Stranglehold shouldn't be there either. What is that game going to do, inspire kids to go shoot at neon signs and air-conditioners so they can drop them on people ?

  I don't really get the list at all. I haven't played hardly any of the games on that list but I know that if they are the "Most Dangerous" of the year, then this year has been very friendly. I played the Stranglehold demo and I didn't find it anywhere close to bad. If anything, The Darkness should be swapped with Stranglehold, I only say that cause I can't think of any other games and The Darkness has the whole eating of hearts and all that (only played the demo of that too).
  
  This kinda list just proves that people who make these lists don't have a *bleep*ing clue on whats bad and whats not as far as games go. They should at least add something like "this year has been friendly relatively speaking compared to other years" or something like that. Whatever...
