A new four player party game which is made up of mini games for the Wii and DS. The publisher describes it as a mix of the best things about Wii Sports and DS Brain Age. As far as comparisons go. They're high ones to aim for. There are some screenshots located in the source. It's due for release in March 2008.

Electronic Arts has been running around the world gathering up games again and this time it's come back with something called Ninja Reflex for Wii and DS, due for release next March.
It's made by Sanzaru Games and will be co-published by Nunchuck Games and EA Partners, and - get this - it's made up of mini-games!

According to EA's bumf, it issues players with martial arts challenges designed to test reflexes and reaction times with "millisecond precision".

The question remains as to whether this is the kind of game the Wii and DS wants. I don't know about you guys, but unless this really is as fun as Wii Sports, I'm kind of getting bored of these party/mini games . I suppose they must sell well to the more casual gamers though. I guess it's too early to be overly critical.

      But... it has ninjas!

No, actually, you have a point. I don't think it's too early to be critical. As fun as some of these games are, this whole 'Mini-Game Extravaganza' is getting old.

And I think there is plenty of content for casual gamers on the Wii and DS as is. They really need to focus their creative juices elsewhere.

I have to agree. They won't stop making titles for the 'casual gamer' though because there's alot of money to be made there I guess.

it's my understanding that wii consumers like minigames so much, that if each of these minigames was marketed separately, they would still sell.

Everyone wants a Wii......and I am the Sony guy in the family. Now, we do have a couple DS's as the kids love 'em.....but I have a very high fear of watching my stepson put a Wii controller through my precious TV.....LOL It would take some serious games to come out for me to consider buying a Wii at this point. I get bored of the mini games very quickly.
