Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Easy fanboys. Ripten has written an article about how us PS3 users don't need in-game XMB access. However, the alternative offered sounds much easier to implement and is much more practical than a total system overhaul.
Today is the start of a new Ripten mid-week feature, where I, the resident Brit, get to rant about an issue in the gaming industry. This weeks rant concerns the much wanted In-Game XMB for the Playstation 3.
There was some fuss over the last PS3 firmware update before it even hit. 2.0 was rumoured to contain a number of much wanted things such as being able to play your own music during games, or bring up the cross-media bar (XMB) during gameplay. This final feature is perhaps the most wanted by Playstation owners, but Im here to say they dont need it.
To me this is obvious, and it may also be to you and Im sorry if Im about to patronise you with subtleties, but somehow I think that what Im about to say might be a revolution to those muppets at Sony.

I mean i remember Koloth and ChiroVette saying that the music in games sets the tone and atmosphere of it, and it works well. But this is what should be implemented next firmware update.
I would like to have in game XMB for games like GTA or sports games but its not something we really need at the moment. There is plenty of things the PS3 needs besides those but more PS1 titles on the PS store, like FF7,8,9. Those hit classics that has yet to surface.
Music though playing would be a nice feature as I would like this loads ^^
It is a big deal.
