When talking to Naughty Dog's co-president Evan Wells, he talked about how Uncharted has been designed to become a first title in a franchise so more title will be in the works soon. He also talk about the Jak & Daxter franchise and mentioned that the possibility's of a sequel would be looked upon sometime in the future. As for Heavenly Sword though it has been reported by Eurogamer that when talking to a a Ninja Theory spokesperson he repeatedly referred to Heavenly Sword as "Heavenly Sword 1", so the possibilities might be there though it could be nothing.

Speaking in a recent Three Speech interview (Part 1, Part 2), Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells said Uncharted was developed as the first part of a franchise, and we are likely to see sequels in the future:

"We developed Uncharted as a franchise. The pulp action/adventure genre lends itself perfectly to serialisation and continued episodes, which is one of the reasons we were attracted to it.

[Regarding the team’s next project] …but even if we don't do an Uncharted sequel right away, you can pretty much count on us doing one in the near future."

He also commented on the possibility of future Jak & Daxter games, saying:

"Jak & Daxter is a definite possibility some time in the future.

There is a lot of interest around the office in going back to that franchise and seeing what we could do with it using the Uncharted engine."

Despite Uncharted only being released in PAL territories today, it has already received some very positive review scores, and is currently down as the third highest-ranking PS3 game on Gamerankings.

There have also been several hints dropped recently about possible sequel[s] to Heavenly Sword, as reported by Eurogamer. At the launch event for actor (and Heavenly Sword star) Andy Serkis’ new games industry organisation Games Eden, a Ninja Theory spokesperson repeatedly referred to the PS3 game as "Heavenly Sword 1", which could mean nothing, but could also mean they are in early stages of developing a sequel.

Earlier this year developer Ninja Theory’s co-founder Tameem Antoniades said that the initial concept was a "three-game story", and that the second episode had already been written. He went on to say that there was "no reason why there shouldn't be a sequel."

They have to get sequels for these games...some decent PS3 exclusives right there. Only argument is to make them a bit longer.

Not Jak & Daxter. I don't really see how ND could continue the story after Jak 3.

Hopefully it won't because they would be more used to the hardware and know to work from.

I just don't see a sequel for Heavenly Sword to be honest. A prequel maybe but if there was a sequel Kai has to be the main character, Cause we all know what happened at the end of the game. I think they ruined the HS ending to be honest. It had great potential to be a kick ass franchise but screwed up on the end of the game.

These are good chances to fix the mistakes they made with Heavenly Sword and Uncharted; you know, NOT mess them up like they did. If the sequels turn out just as average as the firsts, all I can say is it's their loss. You have to understand what the consumer wants. Right now, it's a toss-up between gore-shooting and deep storylines.

As for J&D...it could go either way.

Like i said I doubt that HS will get a Sequel, there's nothing to tell, they screwed it up. What would a sequel provide, pretty much nothing, a prequel would be the only thing i see.

J&D I all for it to be honest. Uncharted i heard was awesome though what mistakes was with that game?
