The newly designed Nintendo of Europe site has been launched and yes you can swap your stars for Wii points.

The new site is a vast improvement on the old one and boasts a stylish new interface more in tune with the the styling of the Wii and DS Lite. Along with the cosmetic changes, you can now exchange stars for Wii points. The conversion rate is 4 stars for every 1 point. That means for 4000 stars you can get 1000 points - enough for one N64 game. As it stands stars are available in instalments of 100, 300, 500 and 1000 Wii Points. Also of note are new items added to the catalogue including t-shirts, caps and accessories.
