The Wireless Nunchuk

Relient K | December 11, 2007 | News | Wii
It appears as if a company named Nyko is trying to create a wireless Nunchuk for the Wii Remote for Nintendo. You will still have to attach a little thing to your Wii Remote, but you won't have a wire connecting the Remote with the Nunchuk, so you could move them as far apart as you want!
Nyko, a company that specializes in the development of video game peripherals, has announced a wireless Nunchuck for the Wii. The wireless Nunchuck also comes with a Wii remote.

The Nunchuck works by attaching an add-on for the Wii remote, also designed by Nyko, that allows the Nunchuck to communicate with the Wii remote using a 2.4GHz wireless frequency. The controller will be shown in action at the upcoming CES trade show in the US.

The retail price and date of release for the wireless Nunchuck is unknown.

If it was the same price and quality of the Nintendo nunchuck, I'd get it if I ever got anymore Wii Remotes. I'm fine with the 2 I have now though.

I think I'd rather prefer it with the wire. I mean, its not bothering anybody. The wire is more than long enough to feel comfortable with. Plus, for me (and probably a lot of others), it would be a bit hard to keep track of both. I keep them connected at all times so I don't have 4 different controller thingies scattered everywhere.

I do enjoy wireless controllers because my kids trip and yank on the cords when I'm playing......so when they're awake, games are put up

the images make it look like the standard way of holding the nunchuck is in the right hand, even some lefties I know hold it in their right hands

I'd really like to get one of these, as I commonly tend to snap cords, even if they are built strongly. Hopefully these won't be too expensive once the release date of them is confirmed.
