Yeah, Halo3 doesn't deserve to be first, hell, I'm not sure if it really deserves to be on the list, period >_> Now, I'm sure it is a solid game, but it has been more or less said that it is basically Halo 2 with some tweaks and that it finishes the story >_> It isn't original, and the only reason it would really deserve to be on the list, is that it is a solid (if unoriginal) game, and that it sold so well >_> Certainly not #1, but maybe halfway down the list (or at the bottom)....
Halo does deserve to be on the list.
It beasts most games hands down. You say oh its just halo 2 with stuff added on. THATS WHAT A FCKING SEQUAL IS!!! They cant call it halo "3" if its a completely different game ffs.
Its been given forge.
It has a theartre with a built in game recorder, With a freeroam camera.
It has a new matchmaking system.
It has alot of new online game types.
A whole new campain
New veichles
New weapons
Armor customization.
Campaign scoring.
Achievements.
That alot more than " A few tweaks".
CoD4 > Halo series. And I get Unreal III tomorrow so I'll let you know.
It's a good game/franchise. Not so amazing that it trumps everything else though. And not so amazing that it deserves to win every first place spot every time.
Why isn't R:FOM there? Why no R&C? Bullshit. Come next year, MGS 4'll be there.

But this list is a little iffy if you ask me. Resistance should have at least been mentioned before some of the games on the list.
Assassin's Creed I can see maybe not being voted for because some people simply don't like the repetition of it (I thought it was a pretty decent game, though definitely not something lasting) but it's being beaten be Ace Combat and God of War and all that?
Granted, God of War is good, especially for being last gen. But I was surprised to see something that wasn't next gen even on there.
Sequels are just for the storyline, and usually there supposed to be better than the previous. Halo 1 was a fantastic game that deserved the score it got. Halo 2 seems to be a Halo 1.5 with better graphics and 1 or two more weapons and the storyline wasn't even that great to me, the ending sucked. And like tallteen stated halo 3 from what i heard was a 2.5 with some tweaks to it.
Now to show you how sequels are supposed to be Take god of war 1 it was very sick game got many great reviews and scores, and then God of War 2 came out and completely dominated the first it was that good. And it deserved the score it got. Everything about GoW2 was better than the 1 with its fantastic storyline.

Halo 3 was decent, I can say that. I just found the controls to be difficult at times, as well as never having a match that was against those of my skill level (first time playing at a friend's house, we went on Live), so I wish there were better ways to gain skills.
BioShock definitely deserved to be on there, in my opinion. Great game from what I've seen.

People have been giving finalblade reasons as to why he's an idiot since the day he joined. That hasn't stopped him. When I read that post, there was no reason to, as you would probably put it, 'engage him in intelligent debate over tea and crumpets.'

And please, you don't know the general attitude of Halo 3. Maybe you know the general attitude of Halo 3 in crazy wako fanboy land, where they burn posters of Halo 3 despite never playing it. If there was a general dislike of the game, it wouldn't be as huge as it is. It wouldn't be played so constantly. Period.
Don't get me wrong. Halo 3 doesn't belong at the top of any list. Time's list is pure crap, that's all there is to it. But I'm tired of moron fanboys with pure, unadulterated hate of a freaking videogame they haven't even played.

Call me crazy but until Nintendo throws something more than. Oh noes Bowser's kidnapped the princess again. Into the story or I'll never consider it great. With the exception of Mario 64 since it was technically amazing and an overall jump forward for 3d gaming, and gaming in general.
Someone was saying resistance should have been on there. Was that not a launch title back in 06? So therefor out of contention for 07, or am I mistaken.
I'm not gonna ramble on much more. But Halo should be behind Mass Effect, Orange Box, and COD4. The rest of the list would change as well. But I'm not gonna go that far right now. Not sure about drake making it though as I've never played it.

And who says it is being played constantly? Have you personally interviewed everyone who owns it? I have two friends who own a 360 and both did not like several aspects of the game. I am not saying it is not good. I think it was a very cinematic and fun game. But it just didn't offer much that the previous games before it hadn't offered.

Honestly, this is a stupid thing to get outraged by...biased list, and the PS3 seriously is lacking great titles.
I can't deny that Halo 3 appears to be an object of great joy for my brother, if for no other reason than playing it with one of his friends in a silly fashion yields humorous results (plasma grenade + flying around in forge mode = unexpected kaboom). If it makes people that happy then I guess it's a good game.
I watched my brother play through Bioshcok in its entirety though, and I'm disappointed it's that low on the list. It's crazy immersive and has great atmosphere.
I've only gotten to play my copy of Super Mario Galaxy twice now, but it appears to deserve the hype and praise. Yes it's yet another Mario platformer, but Halo 3 is yet another Master Chief FPS. It's the differences and the new experiences that make them shine.
If MSG4 tops num 1 spot next year PS3 owners are going to be like OMG THS A GUD CHOSE. I doubt you would see 360 fanboys going up into rage ranting about it.
What does mgs add over its sequals? Num 1 and 2 were basicly same. No.3 I disliked because you never actually had to "survive" it was exsactly the same game.

The Metal Gear Solid series has made numerous changes to all aspects of the games (except for the fact they play more like movies than games at times). I can see that you're frustrated at people for not riding the proverbial dick of Halo, but that's no reason to blindly make false claims on another highly acclaimed series that happens to be PS3 exclusive.
Seeing as it was always the moronic fanboys that kept on saying MGS4 was/will be going to the 360 as well I think your post is dead wrong.
Thing is though. Halo is good. It controls great. I guess it comes down to if you like where they went with the story. I don't
