‘Comic’ Ralphie May slams the Xbox 360 without success (NSFW)

mistermostyn | December 11, 2007 | News | XBOX 360
It would appear that getting an audience to laugh is no longer something held dear by comedians, with Ralphie May taking to the stage during the Spike TV VGAs to slam the reliability of the Xbox 360 only to enjoy nothing but waves of silence for 3 minutes.
Ralphie’s brand of ‘raw’ comedy saw him enjoying the sound of silence after asking if someone in attendance could "fix my *bleep***g Xbox [360], please…" before going on to witness tumbleweeds of despair blowing down the aisles as he elaborated on his opening rib-tickler by explaining his console has broken down three times and that perhaps the Xbox 360 should therefore be renamed "Xbox… It Don’t Work." Hilarious.

There were waves of silence throughout that horrid excuse for an award show. Nary was there a gamer in the crowd, and the kind of pickup these companies are trying to cover in the game industry just goes to show you that corporate greed knows no bounds. If they see it as profitable, no matter how detached it is from the mainstream, they're going to *bleep* with it.

A 30% death rate isn't a joke, glad Ralph' called it out. Maybe the "Super Duper Elite" version can offer up some *bleeping* water/tec cooling.

He didn't really call anything out, when a company has an extended warranty and exchange program out because of admitted failures in hardware he's citing the obvious.

It's about the equivalent of him asking for someone to give him his PS2 hardware back into his PS3. Oh god they removed the hardware support and use software and don't even have BC in the 40GB! NO WAI

See how amazingly dumb that sounds? that's a simple example of how bad his joke tanked. Maybe if he probably didn't shove a butter knife in the tray he'd be able to RMA it.

Well don't worry. Im sure someone will upload the video on Youtube someone always does. Well i never heard of him either but it seems he isn't a great comedian anyway. Still i see no reason to bash the 360 at the Spike VGAs. Im sure the failure rate has gone down alot with the new 65nm chips i haven't heard anything about 360s failing. And it looks he was trying to get attention. He's probably a virgin too

Um...is anyone else confused as to why there was a comedian at the VGAs? Seriously, the shit was more about celebrities than games.

the dude's not really that funny. I'm pretty sure he's famous because of that damn comedian reality show a while back. His 'comedy central presents:' *bleep*.

He was also on the celebrity fit club show or whatever a couple years back. And he actually has a frickin' gorgeous ass girlfriend. As for the VGA's they sucked. Everyone knew they were winning ahead of time first of all, and that one stupid chick from Rockband gave it away when she thanked everyone for receiving a whole different award they won later in the show.

I won't be watching the VGA's next year, Spike turned it into a big joke.
