TIME Magazine's 'top ten' games of 2007 saw it place Halo 3 atop the pile, while the Spike VGAs crowned BioShock. Men's magazine Maxim takes a different view and hands the top honour to...
Before getting into Maxims top-ten selection, it is worth bearing in mind that its expertise and coverage in the world of gaming is marginal when compared to the print space it reserves for scantily clad female celebrities. Indeed, while you probably wouldnt rely on FHM for movie reviews over the likes of Empire or Premiere, you shouldnt place too much stock in Maxim when it comes to gaming especially if its sitting next to Edge Magazine on the shelf.

Don't get why Lost Planet's up there. I can't stand it.
At least I think their number 1 is a pretty good choice. I really enjoyed the game. Multiplayer is addictive getting new guns and unlocking attachments. Achieving those "360-like achievements" are fun.
But hey! At least The Darkness got the recognition it deserves. That game is very underrated.
Maxim, sticking to what you're good at: giving the male population stuff to fap to.
Where the *bleep* is Mass Effect?
Lost Planet wasn't even this year was it?
