It's a matter of taking things too far in a game. It's a matter of making threats in a game. It's a matter of getting arrested for those comments, that were made, in a game.

If you're thinking that's wrong on the Police's part, then you're wrong. The gamer in question, who was a Frostburg State University student, was allegedly heard making threats on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the threats were about "Shooting up the school".

If the past is anything to go by, it's better to be safe than sorry...

According to court records, Shaw was playing the game “Call for Duty 4” in the XBOX Live gaming system with players around the country when he allegedly stated the threat of “shooting up the school.” The statement reportedly contained a description from Shaw concerning “how he was going to do it.”
