LBP and Killzone 2 to be released in Sep-Oct 2008?

Some disappointing news for LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2 fans. In Threespeechs 2008 preview, they talked about all the great upcoming games that will hit the Playstation 3. And When they talked about what games will come out in fall, they happened to mention LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2 on that list. Does this mean the games are pushed that far back, or is ThreeSpeach just off?

From around September or October, the PS3 will move into top gear: that’s when Killzone 2 will arrive, to truly take first-person shooters into the next-gen era. And – more excitingly in my book – when LittleBigPlanet – will arrive. Again, LBP will provide an unknown gameplay experience – firstly, because it is so unlike any other game and, secondly, because it will be up to us to define the gameplay. As the new video of LBP shows, it’s going to look amazing – we’ll get the whole low-down from developer Media Molecule next year (currently, they’ve got their heads down and are cracking on with finishing it).

    Well, if it means a better game overall, to fix any errors during this time, I don't mind waiting...though LBP looked like loads of fun. I'm not too psyched for Killzone 2, honestly, the first one wasn't as great as it was said to be.

    And I know by saying that, the PS3-fanatics will negate this comment.

      I actually agree but i personally think Killzone 2 will own. As for LBP im not really that worried if it is delayed to that date. There is so many games coming next year for Sony that im probably will forget about the game anyway. I mean DMC4(im surprised this wasn't on the list), MGS4 and GTA4(doubt it will be delayed again) and GT5 i mean seriously with those games you won't have time for anything else for 6 months at least. not to mention i don't have alot of money to spend anyway on every big title for the PS3 at the time of release.     It's a shame about LittleBigPlanet as it was originally set as a Q1 2008 launch ... Not really bothered about Killzone 2 though.

    However, the article also states that GTA:IV will be released at the same time as these 2 games, so does this mean another delay ?? - Its seems that Sony sure isn't spilling the beans on anything ...

    R* has confirmed that there will be NO further delays for GTA IV.

      Sony also confirmed the PS3 would be released in the Spring of '06.

    Hmm Sony sure are delaying a lot of stuff recently. I pray they don't delay HOME again as well.

    While I can't say I'm too surprised that any game is delayed these days, I was really hoping for both of these titles early next year, as was expected. Who knows when MGS4 is coming out. Who knows what Haze's new date is. Who knows whats going on with Infamous, Home, 8 days, GT5 (not Prologue), etc. It seems like its going to be a good while before my PS3 will get use. Though I have been losing a good amount of my life since UT3 came out.

    Not interested in Killzone but it's a shame LBP got delayed that far back. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
