It's the real driving simulator, says Sony. Yet, while Gran Turismo 5: Prologue certainly looks the part, fan feedback seems to indicate a dip in favour due to the lack of accurate contact physics and no crash damage. Does that matter? Is the driving the most important aspect? You decide with these fresh gameplay trailers...

If the recent game intro disappointed in any one area (and it sure wasn’t impact), then it was probably that there wasn’t enough real, on the street/track, gameplay footage included into the mix. Well, these latest trailers certainly put pay to that discrepancy, featuring high-speed thrills on an oval racetrack and through the confined streets of Ye Olde London Town

Thats the same damn thing I said. What type of brain reads, 'The Real Driving Simulator' and then asks if driving is important in the same breath? We all know by now that GT is the best looking driving game ever, every time it is released. BUT, I did notice some red car (the actual make I can't remember at the moment) from the intro just politely floated to the ground after jumping over a hill. I noticed it immediately and it looked bad. Damage is also something that many people want, so I think it needs to be addressed. This is not an arcade racer, so yea, physics is a huge portion of the gameplay, that much is undeniable.
