All PS1 Games (download+disc) Playable on PSP via Remote Play

Akira_EX | December 18, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 Playstation Portable
Long story short, playing PS1 games on your PSP via remote play from the PS3 is now enabled. This goes for both your downloaded PS1 games and your original PS1 discs. Usefulness +1.

So, I hope you didn't get rid or sell off those PS1 gems, like Final Fantasy VII or Xenogears.

Although, someone wanna tell me how L2/R2, or right analog stick is gonna work?

All in all, great feature that I'd be sure to use once I land a PS3.

That sounds interesting. But i want to know when we will download the whole game on to your PSP, and not hack or whatever. Cause i rather not be bothered using this feature with the discs on remote play.

I wonder if you need the "full" 80GB PS3 that has the backwards compatibility hardware to do this? Will the crippled 40GB versions do this as well with the original Discs?

60GB is the version that has the best BC on it, 80BG has second best but not as good as the 60GB. 40GB lacks it all together but its up the consumer though to buy it.

Hmm, interesting...I'm gonna try Silent Hill on Remote Play, that doesn't mean the lack of PS1 games is solved.

Well, sadly I barely have any of my PS1 games anymore, which is why I been bitching about downloads for the last 6 months. This doesn't really solve the problem either. If I want to play PS1 games on the road, I have to do it through the internet and have my PS3 on? What is going on with the direct download & transfer

GOOD!!! Maybe I can work on FFVII before Crisis Core comes out. I won't have to disrupt the family's TV viewing to do so!! All I need now is a memory transfer dongle so I can put my files onto the PS3!!!
