Free Willy 2 director to helm Tekken movie

mistermostyn | December 20, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 Xbox
Continuing the trend of major Hollywood directors avoiding videogame adaptations like the plague, Free Willy 2 director Dwight H. Little has been named as the man to helm the new Tekken movie.
Cleveland-born Little is responsible for the likes of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Marked for Death (Steven Seagal), Free Willy 2, Anacondas 2, and Murder at 1600 (Wesley Snipes). In recent years, Little has carved a niche in TV, helming episodes of Millennium, The Practice, 24, Prison Break, and Bones.

Seems a bit odd >_> Kinda out of his genre record, though he kinda jumps around as it is >_>

Is it a live action Tekken movie?

Seems like almost every movie he makes is a crappy sequel.......I'm afraid he might damage the game to movie adaption genre even further......IF that's possible!!

If it's a live-action film, avoid it at all costs...not many great video game-adapted to films around.

Does anyone know a movie based off a fighting game that actually was good. I mean the first Street fighter movie in 97 i think wasn't that great. I loved it cause of Van Damme but i can't say it was a good SF movie. And now i heard there doing another one.

Can't say im too please since they don't even use a chinese actress to play Chun-li.

      I loved Mortal Kombat.

The acting was so bad that it was funny and I think it's the highest rated game-to-movie adaptation ever made.

Does anyone know of a movie based off of ANY game genre that was good? Mortal Kombat was hot at the time. Nothing else I can think of was great. Its nothing new. Movies based on games and games based on movies are always trash. And the live action Street Fighter movie was one of the worst movies I have ever seen, period.
