Nintendo may have quashed recent rumours of a new DS Lite waiting in the wings, but an impressive and imaginative concept clip has surfaced this week, which some fans would like to see submitted to Nintendo for consideration.

Whatever may or may not happen with the evolution of the DS, one imaginative enthusiast has taken it upon himself to create an animated mock-up of what the new DS might look like.

WOW that is very cool!!! It sucks that he felt the need to remove the GBA backward capability for his design though.

Wow...I love how 'compact' it is, heh. I'd rather stick with a normal black DS Lite, though...whenever I get it. I have too many GBA games as it is, and gave away the GBA.

    That looks insanely ugly.

Yeah, that really does look bad.

I don't like the top screen at all; it looks way too flimsy and cheap. And like Tainted said, there would be no room for the wiring of the dpad and face buttons. Plus, that 'DS Phat' hinge is ugly.

I want the next DS to have bigger, widescreen screens.

That doesn't look good at all. It seems to complicates and definitely something that I would not be interested in. It's just... not that great.

And besides, it would be impossible to get all of the wiring inside the small silvers for the d-pad and face buttons.

Impressive 3D concept video. Props to the guy who made it. I think that the actual design of the hand-held itself is decent, but not decent enough for me to give up my sexy DS Lite.

At least it fits in your pocket easily.

Ugly. He could have created anything and he chose something that'd break and is all fiddly.

It looks disgusting. I refuse to buy that thing. My regular DS Lite is 'compact' enough for me and it still looks good.
