Missouri retailer scalping Wiis on eBay

mistermostyn | December 23, 2007 | News | Wii
Those tireless shoppers still fighting through the crowds to secure a Nintendo Wii probably won't react well upon learning that retail chain Slackers is apparently selling the "out of stock" Wii at a mark-up through its eBay store - while turning genuine walk-in customers away.
Tech Web site Ars Technica has recently revealed that Missouri-based chain Slackers is turning away in-store patrons eager to secure a unit of the Wii, while its stock allocation is selling through online auction Web site eBay for a "Buy It Now" price of $399.99 USD, which is $150 USD more than the recommended retail price of $249.99 USD.

There are people who are stupid enough to buy them, so why not put them on for this price? It's the person's fault for wasting their money. I'd just wait though, to be honest.

I don't see why people waited so long to try and buy one anyway. You know their kid's didn't just start to want a Wii the week before Christmas. They've wanted 'em forever and now the idiots are paying thousands of dollars for a fuggin' Wii?!?!?!

    Hooray Capitalist Consumerism!
