We've all heard of the Rockstar vs. BBFC fight going on in the UK in recent months over the board's decision to ban Manhunt 2. The BBFC's decision was overruled on an appeal by Rockstar, but the BBFC still doesn't want to see the game released in the United Kingdom. As such, they've sought a judicial review of the decision and have been granted a January 31 hearing by British High Court Justice Williams. Until his decision is made known, the ban will be enforced.

Sorry Brits, but it looks like you'll have to import or download the game for now.

The Telegraph reports that the British Board of Film Classification, which banned Manhunt 2 in June before being recently overruled on appeal, has won the right to have the case heard by England’s High Court.

Meh, I've already downloaded the uncensored version.

I'd like to see Rockstar win out of principle. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on the Wii version either.

Putting it on the Wii would probably make people say that it encourages what happens in the game and so-on. Can't see it happening soon to be honest.

Jesus enough with this crap. Just buy the other versions in other area's or download the other versions. And shove it up their ass to say "we have it no matter what you try to do"

Thats what i would do anyway.

Rockstar will win, they have censored it and appealed and won. All this does in delay the inevitable

These things actually increase piracy. When people can't get the game, they download it off torrents. So, what's the point?

Rockstar really seems to enjoy exasperating the Brit government.

As it should be, if the british government is promoting censorship, which is wrong in any form of entertainment.

I don't even see why games should be banned anywhere at anytime. As long as it has the appropriate warnings and such then it should be on sale. If people who buy it have problems with the content, then it's their own damn faults that they either didn't read the warnings or go on the net or another source to find out about it.
