Avalith | December 24, 2007 | News | Misc
First, Bandai Namco announced Tales of Symphonia: Ratatoskr no Kishi, a sequel to Tales of Symphonia for the Wii. Now at Jump Festa, they announced that another new Tales game is in the works: Tales of Vesperia. There is no platform announced as of yet, but the release date is scheduled to be some time in 2008.

Bandai Namco had a busy booth at this year's Jump Festa event over in Japan. Attendees of the annual comic/videogame show were able to get first hands-on time with Tales of Symphonia: Ratatoskr no Kishi (Wii) and Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit (PS3, Xbox 360), causing some major waits, but there were no lines for the big news story to come from the booth: a new Tales game!

Tales of Symphonia was a great game, can't wait for the sequel. ^^ I'll wait for some reviews for Vesperia, though, just to get a better understanding of it's story and such. Screens look decent.

Finally a REAL RPG on the Wii. (No offense, Fire Emblem, but you're part strategy.) This should keep my wallet burning well after I buy Super Smash Bros.

How come people are acting as if Knights of Ratatoskr is new? The game's been known for 5-6 months already; Heck, it's coming out in Japan in Spring '08.

I really wish we could know what system Vesperia is on. The graphical quality suggests PS3/360, but their respective hardware sales make you think otherwise.

I'm 'acting' as if this KoR is 'new' because...I've never heard of it until now. So yeah, new to me.
