Crytek has announced today that they are releasing a special present to Crysis fans: The 'Christmas Crysis Tournament Map Pack'. The pack contains five new multiplayer maps for Crysis and has even been tested by Crytek QA!

Desolation: The long deserted colony of the Pitcairn Islands was one of the last crash sites to be discovered. The KPA reached the area first and set up a base amid the swampy wasteland.

Crossroads: Caught between two hostile nations, the tight forested roads and tracks of the Pescadores are better suited to infantry than vehicles.

Training: Caught between two hostile nations, the tight forested roads and tracks of the Pescadores are better suited to infantry than vehicles.

Excavation: Under US control. An American stronghold, and location of one of the most valuable research sites so far discovered, the Koreans stole a march on the Americans to set up a surprise forward attack base.

Terminal: An old military railway terminal has been converted into a multi-zone training facility. Rooftops are critical to maintaining dominance over the immediate combat area. Multiple advanced weapons have been hidden around the engagement area to facilitate field response to rapidly changing conditions.

The game has not been all that commercially successful, but personally I liked it quite a bit.

isn't this that generic, dime-a-dozen FPS with the pretty graphics? =P

Could be. I don't remember any of the hype concerning story-line. All they seemed to boast was their graphics and physics.

But I don't know since I haven't played the game. It has been sitting in the drawer while I play CoD4. And playing nothing now since I'm waiting for Dell to ship (or cancel/delay) my order of a 8800GT.

Why do this if the game is a failure. I mean Its not even good, the story sucks from what i heard. Sounds pointless if you ask me.
