Super Smash Bros. Brawl Goes Gold

With the release of Brawl quickly approaching in Japan (Jan 24), Nintendo has confirmed to us that Brawl has gone gold. This means that the final product of Brawl has been sent to Nintendo's factories, and retail copies are being produced right now.

February 10th can't come soon enough!

This is another story I’ve been sitting on, and so far I haven’t seen anything to prove it false. With the Japanese release date quickly approaching, it does make sense that Brawl has gone gold in Japan. Just imagine all the videos and leaks that will happen once the game hits there!

    We'll know a lot about the game by the 25th at least. Just because most will be playing on the release date.

    But nice to see that the game is done and we just have to wait and see what Sakurai has given us.

    This is the sort of game I bought my Wii (which should arrive later today) for.
    Really looking forward to it and I hope they announce a UK release date.

      Who in their right mind would thumb that down? Sure it is practically a guaranteed hit, but it is a joke too thumb someone down for not being sure about the game. It is plain unfair to, and I say this as a gamer obsess with the game.

          See thats abusing the thumb ratings. Thanks for clarifying this. I'll be sure to tell the mods here about this.

          Don't get me wrong i love SSB and SSBM but im unsure how this game will be, personally im seeing this game just getting hyped up like halo, but i will try it though.

          Yes folks, he says the truth. Honestly, there are plenty of games that had so much crap hiding under a bedsheet, and when the game came out the sheet was taken off, and people could see how much crap it was. Not necessarily stating this game is crap, but you have to wait and see, despite of buildup praise.

          And so, the thumb thing. It's just like seeing a post in the MPH forum: "hai, im new here id like to play wifi! i'm parkerpoo, 0000.0000.0000, im on rite now!" and instead of guiding him the right way with a link, they erase the message from view. It's obnoxious overuse of an option.

    My decision to buy a Wii all depends on this game, that's how c lose I've been watching it. If it's the game of the century, I'm grabbing a wii asap, if by a slim chance it isn't, I'll hold off for a bit.

      Same here. From what I've seen so far, this game is most likely gonna be a big hitter. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this game sold way more copies than Halo 3. It's safe to say that will happen because obviously the majority of people have a Wii, anyone could guess that judging from the way the Wii has been selling for the past year.

      Anyway, Nintendo is gonna have their hands full with the release of this game. The demand for Wii's is bound to skyrocket.

        Passing Halo 3 in sales would be amazing XD It could happen, but either way, this game looks great and it will be worth the money

    I can't wait for the game to come out, and it's good that we'll get info by the 25th at the latest. I'll be buying the game right when it comes out, then I'll judge it. xD

    Wewt. Only about a month to go. Haven't been this pumped since Diamond. Which is a bit of a blow.
