Box Art for Far Cry 2 Released

JelalTrueshot | December 30, 2007 | News | PC Playstation 3
Looks like Ubisoft has released the official box art for Far Cry 2. Something I was not aware of about this game is that Crytek is not involved in it's development.
The game will be entirely open-ended and non-linear. Instead of using individual maps, the game will take place in a sprawling nondescript land in Africa, with terrain ranging from savanna to jungle, similar to those seen in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, Just Cause and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl.

It's alright. They could do better, but I'm satisfied.

Far Cry 1's boxart was better. Its not so attractive to the eye.

Kinda disappointing, but I guess even they're not entirely sure of where the game is going at this point.

Crytek is under the wing of EA, they have been for quite some time with the development and release of Crysis. Far Cry is apparently a name title owned by Ubisoft though so they held onto what they could for recognition most likely.

I noted this in our site review on neoseeker since many thought Crysis = technology demo for Far Cry 2 and that Crysis was just a bad prequel to the Ubi game.
