Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

All in all a good year report by Newsday on the games consoles. Though, as always there is a bias. I mean I agree that it was the Wii's year but they seem to take it out of preportation. Oh well, click the link and read for itself.
Looks like the Nintendo Wii wasn't just a fad, after all.
Of course, that's just our opinion. Nintendo's rivals, Sony and Microsoft, may try to argue that the popularity of the Wii really is still just a fleeting craze - one that has spanned more than a year and has bridged two holiday selling seasons.
Whatever you want to call it, here's the truth: In an industry in which the "next big thing" seems to come around every few weeks, the Wii continues to be the biggest story in the video game world, despite being released more than 13 months ago. Nintendo simply can't produce enough of them, and, in a repeat of last year, Wii-hungry shoppers are again lining up outside stores in the middle of the night or overpaying on eBay and Craigslist just to get their hands on one.

Besides, the Wii wasn't blown out of proportion at all in the article. It continues to be a hot sell, and usually doesn't stay on store shelves. The demand for it is incredibly high.
All the Wii owners I know barely play the console, though.
The winner of 2007 is the 360, hands down. Make all the flame remarks and oppositions you wish, but their line-up this year, including giving a 3-year warranty for the dreaded RRoD earned my respect for Microsoft's console. Yes they should have made sure it wasn't faulty to begin with, but they are making up for their mistakes.
Nintendo according to storm has two major apps, which i agree are very awesome. But Other than that it seems from what we know the PS3 has more games announced. But that means little though, Sony Nintendo and MS has secrets and haven't revealed to the public. 08 will be the Year of the gamer. Since there will be games all over the place even for PS3, i can't wait.
Other than that the Wii is pretty much nothing.
