Prequel to Gears of War (book) Ready for Pre-Order!

MondoPest | January 02, 2008 | News | PC XBOX 360
Gears of War Pendulum Wars: The Battle of Aspho Fields will be a prequel to the game and is all ready to be pre-ordered from Amazon.ca at the time of this writing. It is due out sometime in August of '08.
The book will be a prequel to the Gears of War game and take place at the Battle of the Aspho fields, a setting where Marcus Fenix apparently performed some pretty heroic feats. It is mentioned several times in the game and the book should finally give fans the whole story of what took place there.

Sweet, we get some better background on Fenix, perhaps even Dom. Such a long way from now, but I'm sure it's worth the wait. ^^ I'll pre-order it soon.

That is definitely something I have been looking forward to as well. The recent Halo and Mass Effect books have been great and I hope this lives up to those recent game books.

Cool. Maybe the book will give us more information on the origin of the Locusts as well.

    I'll be getting this.

Some background history would be really useful.
