No MGS4 on 360, says Konami

How many rumors have there been that MGS4 is coming to the 360? And how many times has Konami spoken against these rumors? To many times to count. Well the latest rumor is squashed again and with Konami coming out and saying that they have no plans on bringing it to the 360. Well that's that folks...Lets hope its left at that.

TheGameReviews.com had the opportunity to speak with Konami’s PR about this latest rumor, and unsurprisingly, Konami is baffled by claims that Metal Gear Solid 4 is going multiplatform. In a rush to get the word out, it seems that those who broke the story talked to everyone except Konami, who made this statement "For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game." Nuff said..

    Yeah, I really don't think anyone actually believed the latest rumor, except maybe 360 fanboys...Not suprised at all...

    The site that had reported the game arriving on the 360 was a newer site without much credibility, and they have lost that credibility. It would have been nice if more people got to play, but this is nothing new, considering the only MGS Xbox ever got was a port of Substance back in the day.

    Damn. I knew it was highly unlikely, but I still had a tiny bit of hope.

    Ah well, guess I'll be getting a PS3 eventually.

    Wow i guess im right yet again. I can't believe how many people thumbed me down on the last article when i clearly stated how false this was. Well i knew it wasn't true, that site had no solid proof or evidence that it was.

      Actually, what you said was impossible.
      Nothing can have a probability of 1 or 0, you said that MGS4 would never come out on 360. Therefore it had a probability of 0, thus if your post were correct, it would have broken the laws of probabilities.

    They just love spreading rumours. ._. But anyways, good to see that it isn't a timed exclusive, else I would have basically bought a PS3 for nothing. xD There's still FFXIII and God of War III, though.

    And what's our lesson? Never trust unidentified sources (it's a given people, just say "put up or shut up")...another prime example is the Bioshock on PS3 rumor...whew that one got shot down pretty good too.

    I must say, this is a great move by Konami.
    I find it very annoying that they talk big about their Halo and such, but wanna cry when they can't get their hands on MGS. Get over it!
