The Guinness Book of World Records for Gamers is being launched in February 2008. Guess what they are doing to commemorate the occasion! A Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Marathon. It is going to be the best record breaking event that happened in a while!

This event will take place at set venues in the UK, the U.S., Canada, Australia and France. Quoting the official site on what you can expect to happen at this massive gathering:



You will have the chance to rock with Guitar Hero for one song before passing on to the next player for the most exciting record breaking event of the year! Those of you brave enough to dress as your favourite Guitar Hero are especially welcome!


The site's also sent out a general invite to all the gamers out there who think they've got a record-breaking feat that's just waiting to be immortalized. Application details for the GH3 marathon and the general invite are available at the official Guinness site via the source link.

    When I found out they were making a Guinness Book of World Records from Games after reading this article, I checked out their site and even sent in a claim. Ha!
    That's right, I sent in a claim that to be the fastest Tetris Player on xbox's Tetris Worlds game. I doubt I actually am, but who knows. lol.

    You should probably check out the real fastest Tetris player before you send in a submission.

    But sweet, a Guinness reserved for gamers alone. This'll more than likely include speed runs and Portal levels.
