Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
13 hours 42 mins ago
So apparently there has been a rumor that Microsoft is in planning with a new Xbox game, but here is the catch. It's not for the Xbox 360. It's for the possible next gen system.
In the latest issue of EGM, rumor hound Q-man got a really interesting tidbit from a mole at Microsoft: a secret first party sequel is already being worked on for the next Xbox console. According to the magazine, the game was originally planned for the Xbox 360, but was recently moved over to the next Xbox console.
It's not uncommon for platform holders to begin working on new consoles and launch games years before they actually come out, but this could point to the next Xbox console not being that far off.
So what sequel could it be? Hmmm... a new Halo? The next Forza? How about the next Perfect Dark? Oh, or maybe Fable 2? Kidding.
For more rumors, not to mention an issue packed with previews of some of 2008's biggest games, check out the February issue of EGM, hitting newsstands shortly.

BTW: Aren't the Devs of Halo now 3rd party? That excludes this game from as a 'first party' next-next gen title game possibility >_>

I can see designs for a console now, but developing? They are probably just brainstorming. We still got at least 3-4 years before the 'next' next-gen consoles, and I would imagine them updating the bar on their systems as much as possible before the final product is at least revealed, and technology will give them the benefit of the doubt.
Hopefully it's Gears 2 though ^^
