Firstly lets deal with the bad news, namely, there was no "XBOX360 Ultimate" announced as rumoured previously. The good news however... although not great, was still 'good'.

It seems that both Disney and MGM have agreed to offer content on the Marketplace later this month. These contents will take the form of downloadable movies and tv shows including:

  1. Rocky
  2. Dances with Wolvew
  3. Agent Cody Banks
  4. Hannah Montana

It's not really bad news given that they shot it down prior to the show with a reminder that they had 0 plans to integrate the HDDVD into the console. Bad news would have been that the console has been discontinued and they hope you have a nice day.

It would have probably been nice to see the BT \ MS deal mentioned given that they'll be launching a special config for existing and future xbox owners to have on-demand TV through their 360's making them full STB's.

They shot down the fact that there was going to be no HDDVD in the console, but the other stuff was never ruled out I believe (do correct me if I'm wrong).

You're right there Krunal. One thing that interested me, though, is that the rumour from Stuff regarding the so called "Ultimate" version was actually a reiteration of a rumour that originally surfaced in August 2007. No idea why such a big deal wasn't made back then too!

Bad news that they didn't confirm something you guys all claimed as a negative because apparently Microsoft had one too many SKU's?

I think you mixed up the classification of what is the good and bad news(or rather news no one cares of) there.

Although it would've been nice to get a 320 gig HD.

Before anyone says anything about that much being useless to me, I've maxed out my 120 gig already.

holy crap really? how did you manage that?

    Storm Jan 7, 08
It's quite easy actually, through movies, music, and other things.

Meh, I don't find any of this news to be good/bad, because I have a 360 already and buying another just for a few updates will make my premium purchase a waste...and the mentioned films aren't something to brag about. xD

Basically what Storm said. I keep a lot of demos and downloaded videos too. I wasn't planning on getting an "Ultimate" but if there was a 320 gig coming out I definitely would've have picked up one of those.

The bad things that Annoys me is as follows: I have bought an Xbox 360 but I did not know you have to pay £50 for the network adapter and also £60 a yearfor the internet, that is annoying, I was looking forward to playing FIFA an PES wth some people from here, but I have to save my money fro my job again now.

The reason why PS3 works out to be cheaper then the XBOX360 when you take these costs into consideration. Also remember its monthly/yearly fees you have to pay

But that's not really to the topic

      its £40 not £60

If you got one year for £60 then.....

Way to contribute to the conversation, Krunal.

Is anyone else wondering how being able to watch Hannah Montana on your 360 is "good news"?

Well, I have not got the internet on my Xbox 360 yet, I am going to get it though. I see someone knows it is £40, where is that from? Also does anyone know where the cheapest wireless adapter can be got??
