With Warner Bros going Blu-ray exclusive from May 2008, sources suggest that remaining HD-DVD backers Paramount and Dreamworks have contractual clauses allowing them to also join Blu-ray.

My personal gut feeling is that HD is better, onl reason is because I have Sky+ HD box and it is great. I have not experienced Blu-ray as much though. I don't actually know about Paramount having a get-out clause. I would have thoguht they would have because most big companies do.

Errrr....Wait? Isn't Sky+ HD box a PVR? In other words, it record broadcasts (HD broadcasts)? That has nothing to do with a difference between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD >_> Both blu-ray and HD-DVD are HD Disk storage media...Some cable (and other TV statin sources) stations are HD too (Sky+ HD box can record that)...so what are you on about?

I checked a review of the Sky+ HD box, and it only mentions it as a PVR (with a 60 or I think 80GB HDD), no mention of it beng a HD-DVD player 0_o

What's that bad about HD? I don't see the big difference.

If companies start backing out now, this could potentially make Blu-Ray the next-gen standard.
