Bill Gates and Robbie Bach may have failed to ignite any passions during Microsoft's CES keynote, but an internal memo certainly pulled no punches against the software giant's rivals.

Not one to pass up the opportunity to give itself a corporate reach-around, Microsoft dispatched an extremely self-congratulatory internal memo just prior to Bill Gates taking to the CES stage this past Sunday, which actually reveals a little more bite than the hugely anticipated keynote.

Well...when you put all that info together like that then it's hard to say the 360 is doing badly to any real degree. Didn't know that it was doing that well though compared to the other consoles. I guess Microsoft does have a good reason for all the gloating and bragging (or close to it) lately. Sorry fanboys, but your gonna have problems denying that the 360 is doing exceptionally well for the moment...well unless you count console sales I suppose.

Microsoft are doing very well, currently they have the most good games on Metacritic of the three, but then again Nintendo had the highest rated one last time I checked. Then again there is the third party side of things, I hope they start to figure out how to work well on the Wii, quite a few are struggling...

Similarly, the Xbox 360 apparently has twice the number of software titles (81) sporting a Metacritic average of 80 or higher than PS3 (40) and six times more than the Wii (a mere 13)
Wait, wait wait.... So 81 X360 titles got 80 or higher, and only 40 PS3 titles got 80 or higher? How about we do this... let's put that as a percentage of the games released this year for the respective consoles, and see who did better... oh looky here, the PS3 has a higher rate of 80+ games than the XBOX360.

You can interpret data in any way/shape/form you want with statistics. It's the great thing about statistics.

Thats pretty much the whole point. Throw a bunch of numbers at people and take advantage of their observation skills, or lack thereof, and then dictate to them how great they are. Now, I have a 360, but I also have a PS3 and I'm getting kind of tired of all this twice as many sales talk, since the 360 has been out twice as long.

I agree Krunal. I mean, people can even make the Wii look good by saying it sells fast..

The Wii is good. There are some great games on it if you know where to luck.

That's one way to keep company morale up, make the employees believe they're working on a winner, not a loser. Good PR tactic by microsoft, but I believe it's still way too early to declare a winner, if even possible, for this generation. All three consoles have had big success if you really think about it.

The WII is good but the advertisement makes it better than what it is. All you have to do is move your arm, but still its a good console, I think Xbox is better though.
