Ever since day one PS3 owners have been crying for a more content and a new format for PSN. And now it seems there wishes may be granted. Howard Stringer has just announced that the Playstation Network will be expanded, and after which video's and other media will be distributed directly to your PS3. How do you like that?
The PS3's start? Fairly close to disastrous. Things are slowly improving, though, and Sony chieftain Howard Stringer wants to ensure they keep improving. To that effect he's told News.com that the PlayStation Network will soon be expanded, after which Sony will finally begin distributing videos and other multimedia content straight to your PS3.

Why do people keep saying this? For some weird reason, the PS3's start seems to get worse every time someone mentions it.
People are getting too pessimistic. Like MBP said, every time someone talks about the PS3's launch, it sounds worse and worse every time. By 2009, everyone will be saying "The PS3's release was the worst in the absolute universe, I am so absolutely disgusted".
If they are doing a revamp/make over I can only cross my fingers and hope they do it right this time. Not only if it's free but if it's great to use as well it will be a very competing factor against LIVE.
The PSN itself needs a more organized messaging system. The mail system they have now is rather shabby looking. Social networks are a huge attraction for people; if Sony can integrate great social tools, an appealing store front, all while keeping it free...well, we can only look forward to what's to come (:
Because we want more downloadable games, PS1 games and demo's we wont get this
