Just so there's no misunderstanding this is a "RUMOR!!!"

XBOX Evolved and G4TV reports from a "reliable source" that Microsoft, Rareware, MGM Studios (studio that makes the James Bond 007 movies) and Activision (holds the license for James Bond 007 titles right now) to bring Goldeneye to the XBOX Live Marketplace updated with online multiplayer and to be released shortly before Activision releases it's new upcoming 007 title.

Xbox Evolved has many sources indicating that the classic N64 Rareware title “Goldeneye 007” will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade later this year, as well as many others.

If this rumor is true, I will more than likely download it. Goldeneye is a masterpiece [at least it was for the N64].

You will more than download it? So what else do you have in mind? Playing it?

If this was true, all it would need is Perfect Dark, and it would have the greatest N64 Double Whammy.

Hmm, seeing as how it was on the N64, I really wonder if the Wii will pick it up instead...would be a great addition for either console, I just hope it's done soon. ^^

Bungie is now owned by Microsoft though so it'd be more likely that such a release would swing in their favour.

Doubt this is true. IIRC, Rare said a while ago that the rights still belonged with Nintendo to release this game on the Wii Shop.

That'd be cool, but wouldn't it be kind of impossible since Sony Pictures now owns the rights to the 007 franchise? I mean I couldn't see them releasing it on Live MArketplace.
