Like, an actual Emmy? I thought those were only for music and movies and crap like that?

It seems like they're behind the times if they're only just commending Nintendo's patent of the D-pad.

What took them so long to award Nintendo for the creation of the D-Pad? It's at least 20 years old.

Wow i know the Wii-mote/nunchuck is good but i never thought they'd win an Emmy for it. Well just shows how creative and innovative Nintendo is. I mean anyone who can turn video games into what they did with the Wii deserves an Emmy.

Getting real tired of the Nintendo pat-on-the-back bandwagon.

      I'm in agreement.

I would have been happier if they got an Emmy back in 1985, when the D-Pad turned the video game industry around, not 20 years after.

Aren't Emmys given to...television shows, though? Oh well, Nintendo deserves it more than say, Desperate Housewives or Grey's Anatomy, at least they make useful forms of entertainment.
