The latest update for the Smash Bros. DOJO is a new playable character. This character is none other than Captain Olimar from the Pikmin series!

Captain Olimar will have to pluck Pikmin from the ground; they will also constitute his smash attack.

Hooray for new characters.

This update is also a double update, with the other being music from Pikmin: World Map.

Goodness! Captain Olimar joins the fray with five colors of Pikmin in tow! He plucks Pikmin from the ground and they fight as his allies.

Without Pikmin, Olimar can’t even do a Smash Attack. And the short-lived Pikmin tend to scatter. Theirs is a fated symbiotic relationship.

Surprising none the less. I was expecting him to be an assist trophy, not a character. Though by the sounds of it he has an interesting style of play. It'll be good to see more...and his Final Smash. I'm guessin somethin along the lines of a Pikmin army gank.

Very awesome update. I love the music, and it makes you wonder how he will play, and if there will be more characters like him and Pokemon Trainer.

Wow I didn't expect them to discuss any more newcomers. Pikmin 1 & 2 were great games, can't wait to try out Olimar. I wonder if he can command them to get the items dropped. xD

That is one of the last characters i thought i would see in the game. But when you consider the pikmin army at his command he'd probably have a lot of good moves at his command.

I think I'm gonna like this guy but his moves aren't that good, considering you need pikmin for all of them, but at least it's easy to get pikmin.

How are his moves not that good? Needing Pikmin for them makes him unique, not bad. You can press B at any time to get another Pikmin, anyway. >_>

Anyway, can't wait to try him out. He's one of the characters I most wanted in Brawl, and I'm glad he's finally confirmed.

Excellent update. To me, the Pikmin series has just kind of hibernated for a while. It's nice to see it reappear in this game. I can't wait to start using him!

This could hint at a possible Pikmin game for the Wii!
