Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii was meant to be released at the end of last year, but was then delayed till 10th Feburary 2008. Now reports are indicating another delay which moves SSBB to the second week of March. So an extra month players must wait for to elapse. Anticipation and frustration is building up simultaneously for Wii players around the globe. Like the articles says, it is only a matter of time before Nintendo announce the delay and then we hear cries of anger from impatient players.

For anyone who doesn't know what SSBB is, it's a beat em up game where most of Nintendo's classic characters and other third party company characters such as Solid Snake get to basically Brawl with each other, each character having unique moves and a level based upon them. Also best music composers of the video games industry have composed music for this game, so Nintendo have given this game a lot of thought and there is nothing to stop this game from being an instant classic, although only time will tell.

SSBB is one of the most anticipated games for the Nintendo Wii and it's only a matter of time for it to be released.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the most highly anticipated games of this or any other year, was already delayed from late 2007 until February 10 for North America. Now, reports are pointing to yet another delay, this time to the second week of March.

    thats some grade-A faggotry.
this makes me almost second guess those rumors that this entire game is just an elaborate hoax.

i hope this is just a rumor.

You're probably right, Bandito. I mean, how can they fit so much on one game? xD

A month isn't too bad...but I was really expecting this game for February. I still feel sorry for the Europeans. As Xenc pointed out, they've got an even longer way to go.

I wouldn't be that surprised if they had a big reveal on April 1st. "APRIL FOOL'S !!! THERE IS NO BRAWL !!!"

That'd only be a month delay, though. I beleive the European release is scheduled for November 2008!

This is crazy. I feel SSBB might end up being like GT4 Mobile for PSP.

Yeah, you guys suffer too, hip-hip hooray.

Seriously how unfortunate, it means we won't get reviews for a while.

I'd rather they take their time to polish it well than release it pre-maturely.

Xenctuary, I don't think there is a definitely scheduled European release date. I doubt it would be that long after the US release (this is, after all, the Wii's biggest multiplayer game and probably biggest game of all).

Although that said, if it follows in the footsteps of other titles like Pokemon Battle Revolution, Battlion Wars 2 and Super Paper Mario, a much later release in Europe wouldn't surprise me.

God damnit, i was going to buy a wii in february with my bonus money from christmas work.

Fair play if they are polishing it, but seriously i'd like to know WHY its been delayed, thats something we never get told.

If it was "theres been unexpected bugs, the game keeps crashing because of blahblah" then that would be cool with me.

I'll believe it when I see some reliable source. The first delay was kept well under wraps until Nintendo was ready to announce on their own, I see no reason to believe they would leak such disappointing news this time around.

Month later isn't that bad. Gives me some more time to get some money. I can wait. The month better be worth it though.

ITS FAKE.THIS IS EB GAMES AND GAMESTOP WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.They have no proof whatsoever and it is a possible misprint.

    Gogetenks Jan 10, 08
The game is already done, folks. It has gone gold and is being printed (and commercials are being aired)in Japan. It just needs to be translated, something they have been doing as they were developing the game (going by the hundreds of screenshots of the English build). A delay is extremely unlikely, unless there is a game-breaking bug in the English version.

It wouldn't make much sense to be delayed, so I'd wait for an official confirmation before panicking.

Eff. I thought I'd be the first to say it.

      But, here's proof anyways.

In response to what Gogteneks said -

In North America, perhaps. But obviously it's got several other languages it needs tranlating into for Europe, so I'm not ruling out a much later European release (I suppose you can't all it a delay considering that no specific release date has been set yet - or I haven't heard of one, anyway).

        Gogetenks Jan 11, 08
We already know Europe won't get the game before July, sadly. It's a shame, I really feel sorry for European gamers in this regard. But like you said, since there is no release date, that wouldn't really be a delay. Regarding the North American date, there isn't much of a reason for that to change.

There is NO delay. The game will release as planned on February 10th.

well just think, now they will have more time to make the game better so its more enjoyable when it actually does come out

I won't believe that there is a delay in the North American release date until I see that information confirmed by Nintendo. As of posting time, the release date is still February 10, 2008. Only believe the information that comes from the publishers and/or makers of the game.

    Glotnot Jan 11, 08
Therre are many reasons that stores could change their date besides a delayed released date. Besides, as was said many times, the game is already being printed. So unless the North American and Europe/Australia versions of the game have some extra content, I think this is just a load of crap.

    Seriously.

It's not getting delayed again. It can't. When it was coming out Dec. 3rd they told us the delay 2 months before. They would've told us in December if it was getting delayed again. And they wouldn't leave it until the last minute to tell us, because they know that they would get really angry strikers.

    Remino52 Jan 12, 08
Since japan is getting the game soon we don't have time for a new delay.

Awww man, again? I haven't reserved my copy yet and I was hoping to buy it in late March when unreserved copies were a surplus. There goes that dream. -_-

    ConkerASkyJockey Jan 12, 08
No, it's not going to be delayed.

The game is gold and is already being printed, seems illogical to delay the game.

If this game gets delayed AGAIN, I will kill someone. I'm tired of anticipating for this game. I doubt they would dare delay it again.

Another month for one of the greatest games ever? Go for it. It's unfortunate, yes, but a lot is riding on this game, for both fans and nintendo, so they need to get it right.
