Metal Gear Solid 4 is almost finished ... There will be no delays ... Not even for PAL gamers!

Gothic Girl | January 10, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
Yes, you read the title correctly. Metal Gear Solid 4 is almost complete and will soon be moving into the bug-testing stage.

According to Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton, Kojima was so ashamed that the game's release date slipped into 2008, he has now promised gamers that there will be no more delays and that PAL gamers can still look forward to a simultaneous release.
Metal Gear Solid 4's nearly done. They promise! On his latest podcast, Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton has told listeners the game's in its "last push". While a few late features or tweaks can be expected, for most of the team work's winding up, and the project is about to enter the bug-testing stage. And that means no more delays. Why no more delays?

quote
Mr. Kojima of all people is really committed to [the date] because he really hates to disappoint people, and I know he is embarrassed by what happened with the 2007 slip into 2008.

Because he couldn't bear the shame! PAL users will also be interested to know Payton re-iterates the fact the game will be seeing a simultaneous (or, realistically, very close to one) worldwide release.

Some good news, disappointed at the amount of things that are being delayed lately, Home, Haze, UT3 for UK gamers, with this being one of the best games to hit the PS3 it is rather good news, but can it stay like this?? As there is stories every day

Oh, I wish I could give this more thumb ups. Where's the date that says when it'll be released? I see it nowhere.

Definitely good news, I really just hope they have ample time to work out any glitches that may arise. I want MGS4, as well as the rest of you, to be perfect, like all of its pre-quels. I hope Kojima doesn't feel pressured, but this IS his 4th time around, so I have faith in what he's doing.

We're getting quite a deal, as MGS4 and MGSO will come together. ^^ And a good time for it to release as well, when games are quite dry.

Looks like I'll soon have to hook up the PS3 again. No more delays, yay!

So people just thumbs down for anything now-a-days. Meh, whatever. -_-

This is a highly anticipated game starjet, and the end of a great series.
