BBC consumer rights show Watchdog is attempting to track down the owners of Ozone Electronics, which scammed as many as 2,500 consumers out of money by taking orders on the promise of delivering the hard-to-find Nintendo Wii before Christmas.

According to the consumer report, as many as 2,500 Christmas shoppers in the UK have been stung by Oldham-based store Ozone Electronics, which guaranteed to deliver Nintendo’s hugely popular gaming machine by the middle of December - but failed to make good on that promise and instead made off with the subsequent rush of seasonal customer money.

They are primarily focused in Japan. It doesn't mean they own Asia.

Meanwhile, this has nothing to do with Nintendo themselves, it involves some guys who said they'd ship out Wiis before xmas. On that topic, although I'd give them some slack, since it is after all the elusive Wii, it IS almost the second week of January. I don't entirely believe it's a scam, but w/e. They're idiots anyways.

And stop calling Nintendo "Ninty"; it's bizarre.

Why make a promise you know you can't keep? I really hope the fellow didn't think he could actually get away with this. I'm glad I wasn't one of the customers.

Does anyone on this site EVER actually read the source article before posting comments? Doing so would see that this IS a scam and 'customers' won't be receiving their Wiis.
