More than 20 new PlayStation 3 exclusives in 2008?

With Sony playing catch up in 2007 on the software front, current rumour suggests that 2008 will see the PlayStation 3 unveiling some 20+ exclusive titles.

Alex Rowe at TeamIcoGamers claims that a "heated IM discussion" concerning which of this generation’s major hardware players will emerge as the eventual gaming winner, recently led to some blurted information regarding the year’s upcoming software revelations on the PlayStation 3.

    I'm really hoping this is true. I've been waiting for some decent titles for the PS3 for a while. I hope they will be releasing some RPG's this year as well, aside from FFXIII that is. There is hardly any RPG's for this system at this point, and I think that adding some would be a good step.

    Shadow of the Colossus 2 would be GREAT!!! But I am not holding my breath on info from some "heated IM discussions".

    I don't think we are getting FFXIII this year, perhaps more for Spring '09. We're surely getting Home, which I can't wait to try out, and of course, MGS4, Tekken 6, R:RoM...unaware of the other possible 17+ titles though. xD

      Killzone 2, Haze, LittleBigPlanet are 3 more. I'm sure they'll include NBA 08 and MLB the show to beef up their list. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

    There are definitely more than 20 exclusives, I remember seeing a list for the first half of 2008 alone with more than 20. And hopefully the Sony t game development team continues the SotC style on PS3.

      Yeah you're right, Silver Mirror, I misread.
      And Sub, God of War III won't be coming this year, most likely got 2010.

      You mean in addition to the ones we have already? Because if that were true, then the PS3 would have a sh*tload of new exclusives for 2008, as well as multiplatform games.

      And in response to Storm's comment...GOW3 I'd say would be mid-2009. We've just begun 2008 you know.

        True, but didn't the developer say 2010? Or he may have said something regarding the previous GOW games for 2010, I don't remember.

        Yeah, if this article does hold truth, PS3 will get a lot of exclusives. Good for them, more appeal, more variety.
