Well, today's update brings some good news, and some bad news.

The good news is that the Pikmin stage is revealed: Distant Planet. The stage is really gosh-darned pretty, with lots of interaction with the actual stage itself. Should be fun to play on.

The bad news is that Brawl has been officially delayed once again, from February 10, 2008 to March 9, 2008. Another month to wait, sigh.

Pikmin’s protagonist, Captain Olimar, was forced to make an emergency landing on this unexplored planet.

Let’s just call it the Distant Planet for now, shall we?

The flooring in the middle of the stage is made of vines and is very bouncy.

As you play, you’ll see numbered Pellets fall from the Pellet Posies around the stage. Grab one of these and throw it into a nearby Onion to get items.

Also, this planet experiences frequent torrential downpours. When things get wet, you’ll want to stay away from the hill on the left, as it gets pretty treacherous.

Whoa, that’s some fierce rain right there!

Oh yeah—there are some fierce creatures prowling the area, so watch your step.

You sure it’s safe to stand there?

... ... What am I saying. Of course it’s not safe. Anyhow, take care that you don’t get gobbled up.

NOTICE

Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.

I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.

So my article about the Brawl delay was true? I told everyone in that article it was only a matter of time before we hear an official announcement and here it is.

Heh, delays seem to be happening more and more frequently lately it seems. At least for this game it gives me time to go out and buy a Wii now.

If you get a game that's made in a few months... well, E.T. for the Atari was made in only a few weeks. Talk about reliable timeframe for the public. Of course, they were surprised when the game tried to suck crap, but the crap was too disgusted of the game and ran off.

Now, a game that might take a year or more to make... that actually has quality. Think. The longer they take, the more quality it might have.

Although yeah, two consecutive delays? I don't want this to turn into GTA IV.

I always had a feeling that we would of got another delay. Plus now it's on my March Break and I already have people coming over for March Break. Good entertainment.

    Nice stage for today.

I'll say it again, if they need just one more month for a game that will last for potentially years, go for it. I'd rather have something fully complete than a glitchy disappointment.

Sorry just had to do it. It's just an extra month. I'm sure we can hang on until then. Just read Bri's comment, sums this delay up nicely.

You guys must look at the bright side, they will remove any problematic glitches in the game, making the game more enjoyable.

I was kind of expecting another delay, February 10th seems a bit early for a release date. Oh well, the wait will be more worth it.

Plus, the game releases during Spring Break.

The game has already gone gold, and I've heard that the current problem was the online servers. The game is done, but they just have to fix the server-side issues.
