Gears of War 2 To Be Revealed Soon?

For those who were wondering if Gears of War 2 was in the works yet, this should raise your hopes. Reports claim that Gears of War 2 is far along in development and may be revealed at the GDC, which is earlier than expected. I know, it almost seems too good to be true. The first game was a huge success--it was visually pleasing and the gameplay was great. The sequel is sure to deliver the same goodness as its predecessor. Gears of War 2 is slated for a 2008 release.

According to reports, Gears of War 2 is pretty far along in development and will be revealed to the world on the Xbox 360 very soon.

Reports are coming out that Gears of War 2 could be shown as soon as this year’s Game Developer’s Conference.

The GDC is not far away and Microsoft is apparently working hard to get the game ready to be revealed to the world there.

Gears of War 2 is expected to launch on the Xbox 360 in November 2008, just in time for the big holiday shopping season. The game will continue the story and pick up right where the original Gears of War left off, with Xbox 360 owners hanging on for the continuation of the story.

    It's about damn time? Be patient, DFK. xD It's worth the wait, and they claim they'll get the GoW trilogy on the 360...then again, the first one was so amazing...that I am losing patience for the sequel.

    Hope this is true, would like something to look forward to on the 360 this year. All I got right now (exclusive-wise) is Ninja Gaiden II pre-ordered.

    Gears of War was awesome flavoured awesome with awesome filling, I didn't expect GoW2 til September 2009 or so. This is bloody brilliant news!

    I thought Gears was one of the most overrated games I ever played. I hope the sequel is a little more varied in gameplay and has a longer campaign.

    The first Gears was amazing (probably the best next gen game to date, so far), and I'm really looking forward to the second one. There's nothing better then blasting away locusts with a friend in co-op mode.

    GDC is in early March, right?
