Nintendo has announced the sales numbers of 2007 for DS and Wii. DS has sold over 64 million worldwide total while Wii has pushed over 20 million units. Software for both systems is of course selling well too.

Nintendo has announced that Wii has now sold over 20 million units worldwide since its launch a little over a year ago. And keep in mind, that’s with constant shortage issues.

Again, not new since I knew many a person willing to fight for the death for a Wii over the holiday season. The shortages, if you think about it has given the Wii a "untouchable" effect and promotion in news media, making sales go even more skyward.

I live in Australia and I haven't really encountered any shortages.. then again.. I'm about as isolated as I can get.. Look at a map of the world.. see Australia? Now see the little island below it? now if you look right down the bottom of that island you will find me and my gamer friends...both of them. xD

DS sales are going extremely fast. I live in a relatively small town, and there isn't a single one left.
