Mount & Blade Finds New Home With Paradox Interactive

Paradox, after recently announcing their latest City Life title, has signed on TaleWorlds' Mount & Blade. The game is touted as a medieval combat simulator in an RPG setting.

Paradox Interactive announced today great news for all fans of medieval combat title Mount & Blade. After several years in BETA, the game is close to completion and scheduled for a worldwide release during Q2, 2008....

    Wow. I'm a huge M&B fan... but I honestly don't know what this means for the game. M&B is an incredible game with so much potential, but I highly doubted it would ever reach the level of polish that would be needed to become a true 'retail game'.

    Perhaps this will help it along a bit.

    Dine, it seems to look more like a combat 'simulator' with emphasis on tactically choosing your strikes and whatnot. How is the gameplay in terms of the RPG aspect of the game?
